In front of the First United Methodist Church of Mount Dora is a small replica of the sanctuary.  The doors open to reveal a slot to insert a prayer request.  Pen and paper is provided.  The prayer requests are prayed over by the church’s prayer team.  The prayer cottage was built in memory of Lena Howard, a long-time member of the congregation, and devoted person of prayer.  Click here for the City of Mount Dora's video about the prayer cottage.

Our stained glass window tours were featured in the Daily Commercial.

Every worshiper is encouraged to serve in our congregation or in the community.
