Welcome to our congregation!  Here are answers to a few questions parents ask….

What about emergencies?

Illness – If a child becomes ill, the parent will be contacted in person or by telephone.  If needed, the child may be removed from the classroom until the parent arrives.  Our children’s wing is entirely PEANUT and NUT free.  Please do not bring your child if they are ill.

First aid emergency – Our volunteers will notify a member of the paid staff.  If needed, 911 will be called first before seeking assistance.  Our child care staff and many of our volunteers are CPR, AED and first aid trained.

Fire – The children will be taken to the church sign on Fifth Avenue or to the sidewalk between the playground and the office.  If the situation worsens, one of the staff will arrange an alternate plan.

Tornado – The children will sit along the wall in each classroom that is farthest from the windows.  If time allows, they will be moved to room 101 as it is the most sheltered.

Active shooter or intruder – The children will sit in the closets in rooms 100, 101, and 103 or in the adjacent bathrooms.
