Scripture
21 Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
Observation
Possessions and materialism can bog us down in our walk with God.
Application
How can I practice simplicity to be grateful for what I have, instead of wanting what others have?
Prayer
Dear God, I confess there are times where my desire for earthly treasure comes between my love and devotion to you. Help me to live a life of simplicity, deeply rooted in my gratitude for your grace. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
