March 5th Informational Meeting Survey Results

Thank you to those of you who attended the informational meeting on March 5th at 4 pm with the East Central District Superintendent. We had 155 people attend the session in-person.

Thank you also to those who participated in the brief survey following the information meeting. 143 of the people in attendance participated in the survey. Two trusted lay people tallied the results of the survey. The results are as follows:

Total Surveys: 143

Total Members: 115

Total Non-members: 28

Members in favor of remaining in the United Methodist denomination at this time: 84

Members who wish to explore disaffiliation (departing) from the United Methodist denomination at this time: 28

Members who did not make a selection: 3

Percentage of total members attending who wish to remain in the United Methodist Church at this time: 73%

Non-members in favor of remaining in the United Methodist denomination: 25

Non-members who wish to explore disaffiliation (departing) from the United Methodist denomination at this time: 2

Non-members who did not make a selection: 1

Percentage of total non-members attending who wish to remain in the United Methodist Church at this time: 89%

The Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 12:25-27:
