TUESDAY TIDINGS for April 1, 2025

TUESDAY TIDINGS

YOUR CHURCH’S NEWSLETTER * Tuesday, April 1, 2025

Dear Friends in the Faith,

As we journey deeper into Lent, we come to a powerful turning point in our six-week series, Six Decisions That Will Change Your Life. This Sunday, April 6, we’ll focus on The Decision to Persevere, based on Philippians 3:4b-14.

In this passage, the Apostle Paul speaks of pressing on, forgetting what lies behind and straining toward what lies ahead. He reminds us that perseverance is not about perfection, but about direction. It’s about staying focused on the upward call of God in Christ Jesus, even when life gets hard, discouraging, or uncertain.

Perseverance is especially important in this season of Lent. As we draw nearer to Holy Week and the cross, we remember that Jesus Himself chose to persevere for our sake. His faithfulness invites us to keep going, even when the path is steep.

We all face moments when we’re tempted to quit. But God calls us to press on, to keep our eyes on Jesus, and to trust that He is not finished with us yet.

This Sunday, we’ll explore how to make that decision again and again, and how that daily choice can change the trajectory of our lives.

I hope you’ll join us in worship, in person or online, as we press on together.

Grace and peace,
Pastor David
