TUESDAY TIDINGS for April 15, 2025

TUESDAY TIDINGS

YOUR CHURCH’S NEWSLETTER * Tuesday, April 15, 2025

Dear Friends in the Faith,

Holy Week is upon us. It is a sacred time when we walk with Jesus from the triumphal entry into Jerusalem to the cross on Calvary, and finally to the joy of the empty tomb. This is the heart of our Christian faith. It is a week of contrasts: celebration and betrayal, suffering and hope, death and resurrection.

I want to personally invite you to join us for this week of worship and remembrance:

Maundy Thursday – April 17 at 7 PM in the Sanctuary
We will gather to remember Jesus’ last supper with his disciples. This reflective service will include Holy Communion and a time of prayerful meditation as we remember the commandment to love one another.

Good Friday – April 18 at 7 PM in the Sanctuary
A solemn service of scripture and song as we remember the suffering and death of our Lord through a musical journey called, “Who is Jesus?”

Easter Sunday – April 20 at 6:30 AM (Sunrise on the Church Lawn), 8:00 AM, 9:30 AM & 11:00 AM (Sanctuary)
Christ is risen! Join us for a joyful celebration of the resurrection. The music, message, and fellowship will lift your spirit and renew your faith. Invite a friend or family member to celebrate with us.

I encourage you to use this week to slow down, reflect, and open your heart to God’s redeeming love. Let the story of Holy Week not just be something we hear, but something we live.

With love in Christ,
Pastor David

Experience the Profound Sacrifice of this Holy Week

Join us this Holy Week as we journey through the sacred events that define our faith. Feel the depth of Jesus’ love and the power of His sacrifice that transformed the world.

Join us for Light Into Darkness: A Service of Holy Communion with the Ritual of Handwashing on Thursday, April 17, at 7:00 pm in the sanctuary. This meaningful and contemplative experience offers an opportunity for reflection, renewal, and spiritual connection. We warmly invite you to be a part of this sacred gathering.

Discover “Who Is Jesus?”—a captivating musical worship journey that follows Jesus’ final path—on Friday, April 18, at 7:00 pm in the sanctuary. This heartfelt experience showcases the talents of the Celebration Choir of FUMC, the Barron String Quartet from Stetson University, and liturgical dancer Alecia Devereaux from Merritt Island. Childcare will be provided for your convenience. We warmly invite you to join us for this inspiring evening of reflection and worship.

Celebrate the joy of Easter Sunday with us on April 20. Begin this special day with a sunrise service on the front lawn at 6:30 am. Services will be held at 8:00 am, 9:30 am, and 11:00 am in the sanctuary. Worshipers are also invited to bring fresh flowers to adorn the resurrection cross on the lawn before the services. Let us come together to honor the miracle of resurrection and embrace the promise of new life. We look forward to celebrating with you!

———————————————————————-Footprints will be hosting an Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday, April 20th following the 9:30am service!
This will allow families who attend the 9:30am
service and the 11am service to be involved. The excitement will take place between 10:30 and 11am with a special visit from the Easter Bunny himself.
