TUESDAY TIDINGS for July 29, 2025

TUESDAY TIDINGS

YOUR CHURCH’S NEWSLETTER * Tuesday, July 29, 2025

Dear Church Family,

This past Saturday, our church campus was filled with the joyful noise of children, families, and volunteers as we hosted our annual Back-to-School Bash. Thanks to your generosity and support, we were able to distribute 104 backpacks filled with school supplies to children in our community. Even more importantly, we encouraged dozens of families with the love and hospitality of Christ as they prepare for the new school year. Thank you to everyone who donated supplies, volunteered their time, or lifted the event in prayer. You made a difference!
As we continue into this season of new beginnings, I want to invite you to mark your calendars for a special time of worship and fellowship.

On Sunday, August 31st, we will come together for ONE combined worship service at 10:00 AM, followed by an all-church Potluck in Friendship Hall. It will be a wonderful time to reconnect across worship services and celebrate the unity of our congregation. Please bring a dish to share and invite a friend!

Thank you again for being a church that lives out our mission to nurture one another in faith and to serve our community with Christlike love.

Grace and peace,
Pastor David

Back 2 School BashTHANK YOU!

On Saturday, July 26, our church welcomed 177 registered guests with joy, laughter, and generosity. Special thanks to Amanda Green and Bob McLeary for making this Bash happen! Thanks to FUMC MOUNT DORA your incredible efforts made this possible:

  • 104 backpacks were filled with love and supplies.
  • Free haircuts boosted confidence, courtesy of FUMC’s professional stylists.
  • Fun, bright, happy decor set a joyful tone!
  • First responders wowed us with fire trucks and rescue vehicles — a huge hit with everyone!
  • We’re especially grateful to everyone who laid the groundwork for this event, especially Janet Westlake for her early leadership, vision, and organization. Every role, from games to prayers, registration to feeding, it all reflected the hands and feet of Jesus in action.

📷 Check out the photos below — they say it best!

We’re grateful beyond words – THANK YOU!
