TUESDAY TIDINGS for June 11, 2024

Pastor’s Corner

Dear Family of God,I hope this email finds you well and filled with the Lord’s peace and joy.

This Sunday, we have the wonderful opportunity to celebrate Father’s Day, a special occasion to honor and appreciate the fathers, grandfathers, and father figures in our lives. As we gather for worship, we will reflect on the significant role that fathers play in our families and communities, and we will offer our gratitude and prayers for them.

In Proverbs 20:7, it is written, “The righteous man walks in his integrity; his children are blessed after him.” This verse reminds us of the profound impact that a father’s integrity and faith can have on his children and future generations. As we celebrate Father’s Day, let us also remember our Heavenly Father, whose love, guidance, and faithfulness serve as the ultimate example for all earthly fathers.

Our service this Sunday will include a moment of prayer to bless and encourage all the fathers present.

As we prepare for this special day, I encourage each of you to take a moment to express your love and appreciation to the fathers in your lives. Whether it’s a phone call, a heartfelt note, or a simple gesture of kindness, let’s make sure they know how much they are valued and loved.

Thank you for being a part of our church family and for your continuous support and prayers. I look forward to worshipping with you this Sunday and celebrating the incredible gift of fatherhood.

Blessings in the name of God the Father, Sustainer, and Creator of All Things.

Pastor David

For VBS, we’ve got a quest,
For items that will pass the test.
Label-free, they must arrive,
Plastic containers, lids on tight.
From coffee to drink mixes, we’ll take them all,
Just drop them off, big or small.
Christmas paper rolls, not whole,
With ribbon lengths to fill a bowl.
Partial is fine, we don’t need much,
Just a festive touch, a gentle clutch.

At Fifth Avenue, make your way,
A basket awaits, don’t delay.
Drop your items, and give a cheer,
For VBS, the time is near!

This event cannot be done without your financial support. We are asking for financial donations so that we may buy the items needed in bulk. Checks should be made to FUMC with Back to School Bash on the memo line.
