I pray you had a meaningful Memorial Day weekend. For many, this holiday marks the unofficial start of summer, an opportunity for cookouts, family gatherings, and relaxation. Yet, as a nation, we also paused this past Monday to remember those who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice invites us to reflect on the greater call to love, to serve, and to live with gratitude.
As Christians, we are a resurrection people, and we believe that no act of love is wasted. As Jesus said in John 15:13, “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” On Memorial Day, we remember not only fallen service members but also the way of sacrificial love that Christ himself modeled.
I look forward to being in worship with you this Sunday as we conclude our message series on Revelation.
Grace and Peace, David

Earlier today, fashion lovers gathered for the Thrift Shoppe Fashion Show and Luncheon, celebrating stunning thrifted looks from our local shop. Models dazzled in curated secondhand ensembles, proving that thrifted fashion can be both chic and sustainable.
Guests enjoyed a delightful lunch while admiring the runway-ready outfits and cheering on friends who strutted their stuff.
Missed it? Don’t worry—next year promises even more fashion-forward fun! Maybe you’ll be the next show-stopping model!
Thank God first and foremost, and thanks to you, Pastor David and family, and to such a wonderful Methodist church in Mount Dora. Today, we are experiencing beautiful days like the church in the Book of Acts—Acts 2:44: “And all who believed were together and had everything in common.” The workers are installing the water filter in the church of Calixto—hallelujah!
“Thank you to everyone who made this possible. It will make a huge difference in the lives of people in our sister church and the community. It will help grow their congregation and bring more people to the Lord. People will come to know what Jesus meant by “living water”. It will also decrease the amount of illness caused by drinking bad water. ” ~Diane VanCura

🕵️♀️ “The Case of the Vanishing Shuffle Boarders” A Hilarious Mystery in Five Suspiciously Fit Steps
🧩 Step Two: The Tai Chi Tango
The lights flickered. Eleanor spotted the shadowy figure slipping behind a yoga mat rack. She followed.
Inside the hall, calming flute music played. Posters whispered of balance and tranquility. And in the center—Gordon “The Gazelle” McKnight, moving with eerie grace.
“Tai Chi,” Eleanor murmured.
Gordon nodded. “Strength is nothing without balance. The class were most unsteady. They had no choice but to try and, dare I say, comically follow the steps.”
He handed her a paper:
🗓️ Make time for exercise = Balance 🕙
Then, just as mysteriously as he appeared… Gordon vanished.
