I trust this message finds you well and filled with the boundless joy that comes from knowing our Savior, Jesus Christ. As we eagerly anticipate the summer months ahead, I am thrilled to share some exciting news with you.
Mark your calendars for July 15th to July 18th, as we prepare to embark on a journey of joyful celebration at our annual Vacation Bible School (VBS). This year’s theme, “Celebrate the Son,” invites us to come together in praise and gratitude for the incredible gift of Jesus in our lives.
Throughout this special week, our children will have the opportunity to dive deep into the Scriptures, engaging in interactive lessons, uplifting worship, and fun-filled activities that all point to the love and grace of our Lord. From vibrant crafts to memorable songs, every moment of VBS will be infused with the joy and wonder of knowing Jesus.
But we can’t do it alone. We need your support to make this year’s VBS an unforgettable experience for our children. Whether you can lend a helping hand, contribute supplies, or simply spread the word, your involvement is crucial in making a meaningful impact in the lives of our young ones.
So, I urge you to prayerfully consider how you can be a part of “Celebrate the Son” VBS this year. Together, let’s create lasting memories and sow seeds of faith that will bloom and grow in the hearts of our children for years to come.
Thank you for your unwavering commitment to our church family and our shared mission of nurturing the next generation of disciples. May God continue to bless you abundantly as you faithfully serve Him.
With gratitude and anticipation,
Pastor David
United Women of Faith’s Thrift Shoppe Fashion Show: A Celebration of Sustainability and Style
The United Women of Faith successfully hosted their second annual Thrift Shoppe Fashion Show Luncheon today, showcasing the limitless potential of upcycled fashion.
The fashion show featured a stunning array of outfits, all creatively upcycled from the Thrift Shoppe’s own collection. Each piece, having lived a previous life, was given a new breath of style and purpose as it graced the runway.
As attendees enjoyed a fresh salad bar and a selection of delectable desserts, the air buzzed with conversations about the beautiful garments and the importance of supporting sustainable fashion practices. The event not only highlighted the versatility of thrift store finds but also the talent within the community to create high fashion looks from pre-loved pieces. Thank you to everyone who made this year’s Fashion Show a success!
Last Wednesday’s end-of-school celebration was an absolute blast, featuring the unique ‘Be the Hamster’ snow cone maker! Students and even Pastor David powered the machine just like a hamster, churning out frosty treats to mark the start of summer.

Research shows us: 1. Physical exercise causes us to breathe more often and deeply giving increased oxygen to our brains and hearts. 2. Physical exercise causes the body to produce endorphins (chemicals) that reduce emotional tension and stress. 3. People who are physically fit in middle age are less likely to develop dementia in later years. 4. Exercise keeps our bodies strong and functioning. By taking care of the outside, we show our respect for one of God’s greatest gifts. Our goal is to improve balance, endurance, mobility, posture, and our brain. We do this as a group because it is more fun, more of a challenge and commitment, and because I wouldn’t do it by myself alone.
~Sandy Lazarus, Exercise Class Instructor
