TUESDAY TIDINGS for February 4, 2025

TUESDAY TIDINGS

YOUR CHURCH’S NEWSLETTER * Tuesday, February 4, 2025

Dear Friends in the Faith.,

I am thrilled to invite you to a special Churchwide Day Retreat at the Warren Willis Camp and Conference Center in Fruitland Park, Florida, on Friday, March 22nd, from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Registration and Breakfast will begin at 9:30 AM.

This retreat is an opportunity for us to step away from our daily routines and spend intentional time in worship, reflection, and fellowship. Whether you are seeking renewal in your faith, a deeper connection with our church community, or simply a peaceful day in God’s creation, this retreat is for you.

We are blessed to have Kimberly Quinn, LMHC, as our retreat leader. As a licensed mental health counselor and a dedicated Christian, Kimberly brings a wealth of wisdom and insight into spiritual well-being and emotional health. Her guidance will help us explore how to strengthen our faith, nurture our souls, and embrace God’s grace in our everyday lives.

Warren Willis Camp provides the perfect setting for this retreat—a place where we can pray, reflect, and grow together. The day will include engaging sessions, time for personal reflection, small group discussions, and moments of worship and prayer.

I encourage you to make this retreat a priority and invite a friend or family member to join you. Come ready to be refreshed, encouraged, and inspired!

To ensure we have an accurate count for meals and materials, please register in advance by March 12th by emailing office@mtodorafumc.org” style=”mso-line-height-rule: exactly;-ms-text-size-adjust: 100%;-webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;color: #007C89;font-weight: normal;text-decoration: underline;”>office@mtodorafumc.org or calling 352-383-2005. Grace and peace,
Pastor David

Experience ACTS
of Worship at Our Early Traditional Service

March 9 – April 13

Join us for a special Lent worship experience! Our 8am service will feature ACTS worship, inspired by Rev. Dr. Richard and Mrs. Gail Williamson.

Highlights:

  • Holy Communion: Weekly intinction with grape juice and Biblical wine.
  • Rite of Anointing: Weekly anointing with oil to encourage prayer.

Why ACTS Worship? ACTS worship follows the Biblical model of regular Holy Communion and anointing with oil, moving us to a deeper spiritual encounter.

Wesleyan-Methodist Tradition: Reflecting our roots, early Methodists shared in Holy Communion weekly, as emphasized by John Wesley.

Unique Purpose: This 8am service offers a distinct and enriching worship experience.

Come and be part of this transformative journey!
