Scripture: v. 7:24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.”
Observation: Jesus’ teachings are a foundation for life, especially to hear and do the Word of God.
Application: Are my actions matching my words? Are my words matching my actions? I want to refine my witness, so that it is more authentic. The world is watching, and ready to pounce on labeling Christians as “hypocrites”. Fair or not, followers of Christ are held to a higher standard.
Prayer: O Lord, forgive me for my hypocrisy. Refine my witness that my words and deeds may reflect the Word and will of God. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
