Scripture: v. 18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
Observation: Faith in Jesus Christ is the foundation of the Church.
Application: I should see more value in the faith of people than bricks, mortar, and traditions that we often confuse with “church”.
Prayer: Almighty God, open my eyes to the faith that truly forms your church. Forgive me for the times I have confused church with buildings, institutions, or traditions. Amen.
